This Assistant-level Companion is designed for school leavers, beginners and students looking to refresh their grounding in applied AI. No prior experience is required.

It combines two academic courses from ESTIA's BIHAR programme with three Oracle University learning paths, all freely accessible.

"AI by Example", designed by ESTIA, introduces the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, Big Data and Deep Learning through practice, using R and Python.

"Generative AI by Example" covers multimodal prompt engineering and the generation of text, images, sound and video, around LLMs and RAG systems.

On the Oracle side, "AI for You" offers an accessible first approach to AI with no technical background needed. "Become an OCI Foundations Associate" covers Oracle Cloud Infrastructure architecture, identity and access management, networking, compute, storage and security. "Become an OCI AI Foundations Associate" addresses machine learning, deep learning and generative AI as applied on OCI.

✅ On completing the Companion, you validate 3 ECTS corresponding to BIHAR Bachelor credits, and you may sit the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate (1Z0-1085-26) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure AI Foundations Associate (1Z0-1122-26) certifications. Both exams are free. The "AI for You" path leads to a digital badge, with no certification exam.

This Companion opens in 2027.

All academic courses are offered as MOOC videos, giving you complete flexibility in your learning journey.

Academic courses are delivered on the Moodle platform, managed by Datum Academy. You will find instructional videos, downloadable course materials and detailed case studies. Academic exams are taken online, remotely proctored by ProctorExam.

Oracle learning paths are accessible on the Oracle MyLearn platform. Official path and certification titles are in English; the courses are generally multilingual.

1. AI by Example:

✔️ Practical experience with tools such as Python, TensorFlow, R and IDEStudio.
✔️ Real-world projects: tweet analysis, health and agriculture predictions, clustering, association rule extraction.
✔️ In-depth understanding of neural networks (perceptrons, recurrent networks, deep networks).
✔️ Distinguishing supervised from unsupervised learning.

2. Generative AI by Example:

✔️ Master multimodal prompt engineering.
✔️ Generate text, images, sound and video with generative models.
✔️ Understand how LLMs and RAG systems work.
✔️ Apply these techniques in a hands-on workshop.

3. Become an OCI Foundations Associate:

✔️ Understand Oracle Cloud Infrastructure concepts: cloud architecture, identity management, virtual cloud networks (VCN).
✔️ Deploy and manage cloud services: compute, storage, databases, Kubernetes.
✔️ Secure resources with tools such as Cloud Guard and encryption.
✔️ Optimise costs and manage cloud resources efficiently.

4. Become an OCI AI Foundations Associate:

✔️ Acquire the key concepts of Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Generative AI.
✔️ Explore large language models and Oracle's AI services.
✔️ Practise with Oracle AI solutions, covering infrastructure, data and ML/AI services.
✔️ Implement real-world applications in applied AI.
