OVERVIEW
The Bachelor BIHAR & eBIHAR from the École Supérieure des Technologies Industrielles Avancées (ESTIA) lays the foundations for careers in applied AI and data engineering. It runs over one year, through work-study or distance learning, and leads to an ESTIA Institution Diploma (D.E.).
It comes in two ECTS-certified tracks:
ESTIA "Engineering" Bachelor: the digital pathway of the third year of the Engineering Bachelor, on site and through work-study. Opening in October 2026.
eMIAGE Licence: the academic computing pathway, the 100% distance version of the eBIHAR Bachelor, with eMIAGE courses. Scheduled to open in October 2027.
Both tracks share a 100-hour ESTIA common core, "The concepts and standards of applied AI and data engineering", then differ in their specialty courses and industrial tools.
The Bachelor prepares for the four major skill blocks of the BIHAR programmes: Big Data Engineering, AI Engineering, Full Stack Development, Cloud Architectures & Cybersecurity. It provides a direct bridge to ESTIA's Master of Science BIHAR / eBIHAR after thematic reconversion.

- AI by Example (⌛ 20 hours): a hands-on introduction to artificial intelligence, using R and Python.
- Generative AI, with workshop (⌛ 20 hours): multimodal prompt engineering and the generation of text, images, sound and video (LLM, RAG).
- Generative AI for Managers (⌛ 20 hours): managerial use cases for generative artificial intelligence.
- Machine Learning & Deep Learning by Example (⌛ 20 hours): machine learning, neural networks and applied Deep Learning.
- SQL & Big Data by Example (⌛ 20 hours): Codd's relational model, SQL2 and DBMS seminars (normalisation, query optimisation, OLAP, access methods).
TRACK 1 - ESTIA ENGINEERING BACHELOR
This track is taken on site and through work-study. In addition to the common core, it includes specialty courses and Oracle University's industrial learning paths across the four skill blocks. Oracle courses and exams are handled directly by the learner with Oracle; four certification exams are free, the others cost around 245 USD.

This track is the 100% distance version of the eBIHAR Bachelor. In addition to the common core, it includes six MIAGE academic courses (120 hours), drawn from the ANR THEME programme and taught by academic researchers from several French universities:

On completing the programme, learners validate the ECTS credits of ESTIA's Bachelor BIHAR or of the eMIAGE Licence, depending on the track followed, along with the industrial certifications obtained from Oracle, Google or Microsoft.

ADMISSIONS
The application process is straightforward. Create your account on our website by clicking the “Apply” button, then fill in the requested information. You can return to your application at any time by logging into your account.
A jury then meets to assess your application and determine your eligibility. You will receive a response by email, whether positive or negative. Successful candidates confirm their place by paying the enrolment fee, then receive their access to the learning platforms.
The Bachelor BIHAR & eBIHAR opens a bridge to ESTIA’s Master of Science BIHAR/eBIHAR.
FEES
A non-refundable application fee of €50 is due when submitting the application.
The Bachelor BIHAR & eBIHAR enrolment fee is €6,000 (incl. tax) per year and can be paid in instalments.

Yes, several options exist. The ESTIA Engineering Bachelor track can be taken through work-study (funding possible via apprenticeship / the company's OPCO). Employees can also receive support from their employer. If you are a student at an Associated Digital Campus (CAN), check the specific fees and support with your university.

To submit an application, start by creating an account on our website by clicking the “Apply” button. You will then be redirected to a page to fill in all the required information. You can return to your application at any time by logging in via the “Login” button.
The Bachelor BIHAR & eBIHAR is aimed at holders of a high-school diploma (baccalauréat or equivalent) who wish to train for careers in applied AI and data engineering, as well as people in professional reconversion. The 100-hour common core lays the foundations: no advanced computer-science expertise is required at the start. Each application is validated by a jury.
Once your application is submitted, a jury meets to assess it. You will receive the response by email, whether positive or negative. If positive, you will receive a link to pay your tuition fees. After payment confirmation, you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours, along with your access to the learning platforms.
Like any online programme, the Bachelor requires learning autonomy. The common core represents 100 hours (5 courses of 20 hours); each weekly module requires about 5 hours of personal work. Taking 2 courses in parallel, expect about 10 hours of activity per week.

These are the two ECTS-certified tracks of the Bachelor. The ESTIA “Engineering” Bachelor is taken on-site and through work-study; the eMIAGE Licence is its 100% distance version, with eMIAGE courses. Both share the same 100-hour ESTIA common core and prepare for the four skill blocks of the BIHAR programmes.
All you need is a computer and an Internet connection.
The Bachelor enrollment fee is €4,000 (incl. tax) and can be paid in installments. If you choose to pay in 3 installments, you will be charged once a month, on the same day, starting from the first payment (e.g. September 1st, October 1st, November 1st). A non-refundable application fee of €50 is due when submitting the application.
Each module is tutored peer-to-peer within the students' social network (FUN MOOC platform) and through a weekly video chat with the professor in charge of the course. For Oracle tool courses (Oracle MyLearn platform), the “Ask instructor” tool is available on your course page. The Datum Academy team is also available to support you.
No. The diploma (ESTIA D.E. or eMIAGE Licence depending on the track) does not carry an “online” mention: the online and on-site versions have the same value in terms of teaching and ECTS credits awarded.
